Incognito mobile is a project that aims to create a piece of furniture made of wood, echoing and enhancing the traditional materials of Italian design.

The inspirations
The research starts from the many facets of the meaning of mask, which became the center of cultural debate during the 20th century. This term is understood in different ways depending on the artists and the various currents of thought dealing with it. However, the mask is universally understood as a stratagem for not being recognized, for distancing oneself even momentarily from one's identity. A way of changing one's image but having, underneath, the certainty of still being oneself.

The project
Honey,the furniture made, echoes the aforementioned mask concepts of the Cubist avant-garde and Ensor's expressionist mirror. The design involves the study of a single hexagonal module that, depending on the user, can be assembled in different ways. At the bottom of the module is placed a mirrored section that, depending on how the modules are assembled, will reflect the image of the person being mirrored in different ways. In this way, as in cubism, the real image of the person being reflected will be broken down into many fragments.
In this sense, the project sums up the concept of the mask: by placing man in front of a reflection in which he recognizes himself but at the same time does not recognize himself, he will unconsciously tend to reflect on the truthfulness of his image.
the design is made of two main materials, bleached oak woodand a mirrored surface.
The single module structure has a hexagonal shape characterized by rounded corners; this shape makes it possible to compose module systems by creating many different shapes. As many as 6 other modules can be attached to each module thanks to the slots on the sides.
The modules can be placed on the ground thanks to the "T" base, or they can also be fixed to the wall.
The interlocking between two modules is very simple as it does not require any additional screws, nails or glues but only the manual joining between the base and the slot.
